Welcome Josh and Katie Haun
We have spent a lot of time praying for God to send us someone to help lead our church plant project. In recent months, we have talked about Josh and Katie Haun. We had the opportunity to meet them during a Sunday morning service in which Josh shared his heart with us during the sermon. We are excited to finally welcome them to Real Life, and we are anxiously anticipating what God is going to do through them. We have asked Josh to join us as our Church Planting Pastor.
Josh and Katie recently celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on January 1st! They both enjoy building new relationships and getting to know new people! Josh grew up in Cleveland, TN and loves to garden and be outdoors. Josh and Katie began ministering at Wartburg Church of the Nazarene while engaged and became full-time after they married. Josh graduated from Trevecca in 2011 with a degree in Religion and Philosophy and a minor in Missions. He then went on to get his Masters of Divinity at Nazarene Theological Seminary. While there, classes sent Josh and Katie as missionaries to Bulgaria in Eastern Europe. When they returned to the United States, they began their role as Pastoral family of Cowan Church of the Nazarene where they have been serving the past three and a half years.
Katie was raised in Manchester, Tn and graduated from Motlow State Community College with an Associate of Science Degree. She is a teacher. After returning from Bulgaria, Katie went back to school and recently graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement allowing her to teach kindergarten through eighth grade. Katie is currently in her first teaching position in Manchester at Hickerson Elementary School where she teaches 3rd grade English and Social Studies. Katie loves baking and making crafts. Josh and Katie both have a love for the Lord and for the work of the Kingdom! They also both enjoy music. Josh is a man of many talents and can play almost any instrument you hand him. Josh and Katie both love to sing together.
If you haven’t gotten a chance to meet this awesome couple yet, we know that you will soon! They will be joining us for their first Sunday on January 17th, so be sure to give them a hug or a handshake and welcome them to Real Life! You can also read their blog to keep up with everything they’re doing in Murfreesboro!
