“We know that Jesus was a good person. That he displayed his love and generosity to so many people through miracles of healing, acts of kindness, and a message of love. Still, the story of Jesus leads us to the cross. How did this good, kind, and loving Savior end up hanging on such an instrument of shame, pain, and death? What was it in the life and ministry of Jesus that led to this emblem of suffering and shame? This is the question that we ask as we uncover what led our loving Savior to die on the cross in the coming weeks. Why the cross?”
