Message Series – “I Am…”
In the gospel of John one of the key themes is the identity of Jesus. Who is he? Why was he here? What was he doing? Interestingly enough, in John’s gospel, we find Jesus himself answering those kinds of questions with statements about his own identity. Jesus reveals himself to his disciples through a series of “I Am…” statements. In those statements not only do we find the truth about Jesus’ identity and mission, but we also find answers to some of life’s great questions as well…questions like:
Where can I find fulfillment in life?
What kind of work should I be interested in doing?
Who will lead, care for and guide us?
How do we find eternal life?
How can we thrive and live a fruitful life?
